• Q 1. Brief Introduction to our hydraulic cylinders Square hydraulic cylinders not only Block Cylinders
    A

    Style 01 / 02 / 77 Introduction to the three installation methods
    - 01 The installation method is to install from the front with counterbore DIN912 / 12.9 screws front – inch thread
    - 02 The installation method is to install from the rear counterbore DIN912 / 12.9 screws back – inch thread
    - 77 installation method is to install from the front and rear side with counterbores for DIN912 / 12.9 rod end and back end – inch  thread port connections.
This installation method is a combination of 01 and 02 installation methods, but the 77 installation method is limited to the stroke of the square hydraulic
cylinders. The available standard stroke for the different cylinder diameters are as following:

  • Q 2. What are the differences and definitions of the three series of hydraulic cylinders BZ 500, BZ 32
    A
    - BZ 500 refers to the maximum working pressure of this series of hydraulic cylinders is 500bar,and its stroke range is 0 < hydraulic cylinder stroke ≤ standard stroke h3
    - BZ 320 refers to the maximum working pressure of this series of hydraulic cylinders is 320bar,and its stroke range is standard stroke h3 < Hydraulic cylinder stroke≤ 200mm
    - BRB 250 refers to the maximum working pressure of this series of hydraulic cylinders is 250bar,and its stroke range is 200 < hydraulic cylinder stroke ≤ 500mm.

  • Q 3. Under the installation styles of 03, 06, 33, and 36 in the block hydraulic cylinders, what should
    A
    - When the stroke of the hydraulic cylinder is ≥ standard stroke h3, the standard of AHP MERKLE under the installation methods of 03, 06, 33, and 36 is 4 fixing screw holes, that is, the hole positions of the 4 mounting screw holes shown in h and h1 in the catalog; when the stroke of the hydraulic cylinder is < standard stroke h3, the standard of AHP MERKLE is 2 fixing screw holes, that is, the hole positions of the 2 mounting screw holes shown in h in the catalog; if the customer specifies that 4 fixing screw holes are required when the stroke is < standard stroke h3, please indicate “reserved” when inquiring and placing an order. h1".

    - Under the installation styles of 03, 06, 33, AND 36, AHP MERKLE can process and INSTALL the keyway according to customer requirements, that is, the slot shown in h2 in the catalog. When processing and installing the keyway, the keyway value, that is, the value shown in h2, must be provided by the customer (the value of h2 has the maximum and minimum values).

  • Q 4. What are the standards for thread and pitch of AHP Merkle hydraulic cylinders?
    A

    Example: M24x2

    示例: M24x2\

  • Q 5. What is the maximum working pressure of the hydraulic cylinder?
    A
BZ 500, BZ 320, BZ 250, UZ 100, HZ 160, HZ 250 and other series of AHP Merkle hydraulic cylinders, the letters in front indicate the hydraulic cylinder series, and the numbers behind indicate the maximum working pressure of this type of hydraulic cylinder. In principle, the maximum pressure value of the hydraulic cylinder is not allowed to exceed when the hydraulic cylinder is running, even if it is exceeded instantly, and there should be no pressure peaks inside the hydraulic cylinder.

    Example Block Cylinders:

  • Q 6. What is the working temperature of the hydraulic cylinder?
    A
The upper limit of the standard OPERATING TEMPERATURE of the hydraulic cylinder is 80°C, which depends on the selected seal. AHP MERKLE'S sealing ring is selected as follows:
    - Standard sealing ring: -15°C to 80°C (5°F to 176 °F)
    - Viton sealing ring: -15°C to 180°C (5°F to 356 °F)

  • Q 7.What is the lifetime of the hydraulic cylinders?
    A
The life of hydraulic cylinders on a large number of variables. As a general rule hydraulic cylinders are very robust and durable actuators, that can also be repaired quickly and easily.
With proper design, dimensioning and operation, hydraulic cylinders last a long time. However, the following should always be taken into account in operation:
-Avoid pressure spikes (caused by the pump or the application of external force).
-Avoid transverse forces, or absorb them using suitable guides
    -Do not overheat seals
-Protect piston rod from mechanical damage/scoring (assembly, maintenance, environmental conditions)
-No contamination (from inside via abrasion and corrosion or from outside via worn seals, ambient dirt, metal chips or adding new unfiltered oil)
    -No water in the oil
-No air in the hydraulic system
    -Spark-over on piston rod
